In recent years the field of neurointensive care has experienced enormous growth in clinical and basic data. In Latin America there has been a growing interest in Neurocritical patient management. With the initiative of colleagues from Latin America, the first international virtual congress of neurotrauma and neurocritical patient was conceived and the logistics coordination of Dr. Alexis Narvaez-Rojas (Nicaragua) and Dr. Luis Rafael Moscote-Salazar (Colombia). With the support of RED LATINO- Latin American Organization of Trauma and Neurointensive Care and YNF( young neurosurgeons committee) of the World Federation of Societies of Neurosurgery will be held on 2 and 3 December an interesting scientific event which will bring together leading Neurocritical management representatives from the USA, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela and guests from UK, Iraq and India.
The event was organized in 26 online conferences, where various topics of interest for intensive care specialists, neurosurgeons and doctors in general will be presented. The conferences are free and have been widely disseminated using social networks to make it a success. Within the framework of the event, the academic discussion will be allowed with each exhibitor and interactive surveys will be done, constituting a novel application of the new technological tools. We also hope that the congress will be a space for the expansion of knowledge and its dissemination. It also becomes a virtual platform with international experts that also allows comparing experiences and strengthen academic ties.
With the assurance that upcoming editions of this event will be important to consolidate the new modalities of communication and learning as an effective tool for the interaction of physicians dedicated to Neurocritical management.
